It charts his education and explorations in Africa, aiming “to give a balanced summary of Livingstone’s life and highlight the stories of those who influenced and supported him, making his achievements possible”
The cabinet secretary’s visit marked Museum Futures reaching the milestone of distributing £2 million out of the £4 million in grant awards to facilities across the country since its launch last year, “delivering targeted, strategic support at a critical time”

Michelle ‘’ This was a great opportunity for me while been part of the tour with the Cultural Secretary. I had to explain my role as NSI Trainee leader within the Museum and the experience and the skills I got to acquire every day. This has really lifted my confidence. I told the Cultural Secretary, without the traineeship, I won’t be here. I am grateful’’
